Hot News Technical difficulties put the kibosh on a dual camera setup for the Apple iPhone 7 Plus/Pro?

Those expecting to purchase a new Apple iPhone 7 Plus/Pro later this year, might want to take this new rumor into consideration. A posting today on China's Weibo micro-blogging site says that due to technical difficulties, Apple has decided to put the kibosh on the dual camera feature for this year's iPhone.

Many had been expecting the Apple iPhone 7 Plus/Pro to carry two 12MP cameras on the back, with the extra sensor used for optical zooming. Most leaked images of the phone, schematics and other images included the dual camera setup. But Foxconn insiders who have taken to Weibo to spread the news, say that the dual cameras are no longer on the table.

If the dual camera setup is no longer being considered for the iPhone 7 Plus/Pro, there might not be that many new features on the next iteration of the iPhone to attract buyers. Yet, Apple is confident as it ordered 72 million to 78 million iPhone 7 units for this year, well above analysts' expectations. 

We do recommend that you take this news with a grain of salt.

Hot News from Samsung to unveil the Galaxy Note 7 or Note 7 edge on August 2, 2016

We’ve seen quite a few rumors about the upcoming device in the Galaxy Note lineup including the one which suggested that it would be the Galaxy Note 7. Now, we’ve received information suggesting that the Galaxy Note 7 with a curved edge screen would be unveiled at the next Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event.
According to an image that we’ve received, Samsung might unveil either the Galaxy Note7 or Galaxy Note7 edge on August 2, 2016, at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York. As you can see in the image, five curved lines might be pointing towards ’7′ the Galaxy Note7′s name and “The next edge is just around the corner” phrase suggests that it could be the Galaxy Note7 edge. This would bring its numbering in sync with the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.
We expect that only one Galaxy Note handset will be unveiled by Samsung this August. The upcoming flagship is rumored to feature a 5.8-inch QHD curved edge display, a Snapdragon 823 SoC or an equivalent Exynos chipset, an iris scanner, IP68-certified water-resistant body, a USB Type-C port, and a 4,000 mAh battery. We also exclusively reported that the Galaxy Note 7 would come with a BlackBerry Hub-like Samsung Focus app for enhanced productivity.

Samsung reportedly working on two foldable smartphones; MWC 2017 unveiling tipped

We already knew that Samsung is working on a phone with foldable display (internally dubbed Project Valley) and will launch it sometime next year. Now, a new report from Bloomberg reveals that not one but two such devices are in the works at the South Korean company.
The report notes that one of the two devices "folds in half like a cosmetic compact," while the other sports a 5-inch screen in folded form, with the display size increasing to as large as 8-inch when the handset is unfolded.
The report also says that one or both devices could be unveiled at next year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

Hot news Samsung Galaxy Note7 edge might feature a dual-camera setup

The next in line in Samsung's iconic phablet family has been flooding the rumor mill and captivating everybody's curiosity for quite some time now. And as August draws near, so does Samsung's typical announcement window for Note devices and with that, more and more details are starting to slip through the cracks.
The latest industry insider scoop on the upcoming Note hints at a dual main camera setup. According to the source, Samsung Electro-Mechanics (Semco) is already working on said system and it will, allegedly, be ready to make its debut on the Note7 or perhaps its rumored curved Note7 edge sibling. This does actually make a lot of sense, seeing how the upcoming iPhone Pro or iPhone 7 Plus is also likely to receive a dual-camera module.
Hopefully, more information will become available soon to shed some light on the eagerly-anticipated device before the Samsung Unpacked arrives.

Hot news Samsung Galaxy Note 6/7 recreated based on leaked blueprints

Leaked blueprints courtesy of @OnLeaks combined with the 3D skills of uSwitch have resulted in a 3D render of what the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 might look like.
The sketches show a dual-curved screen, similar to the Galaxy S7 edge. The S Pen sheath in the lower right makes this definitely a Note device, though. The screen is somewhere between 5.7" and 5.8" big.
A surprising swap has occurred at the bottom - a shiny new USB Type-C takes over from the tired microUSB 2.0. If this pans out, it will be a first for Samsung.

Other curious additions include the cluster of sensors above the Galaxy Note 6's screen. This could be the Iris tech that launched recently (an alternative to fingerprint sensors).
The Note 6 measures 153.5mm x 73.9mm x 7.9mm. That makes it narrower than the Note5, between it and the S7 edge in size. By the way, there's a rumor going around that Samsung will dub this "Note 7" so that it's in lockstep with the Galaxy S phones.

Hot News Samsung Galaxy Note 6 (or Note 7) to be announced in early August

With the Galaxy Note 5 now almost 1 year old, Samsung is getting ready to introduce a new Note smartphone. Logically, this upcoming handset should be called Galaxy Note 6, though rumors have it that Samsung may in fact call it Galaxy Note 7 - presumably in order to assure customers that the new Note is from the same generation of Samsung phones as the Galaxy S7 family (released earlier this year), and isn't related to the Galaxy S6 series from 2015.

Last month, we heard that the next-gen Galaxy Note (6, or 7, or whatever it ends up being called) could be released in the US in the week beginning August 15. Now, Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) reports that the handset's "launch event is almost exactly two months away" - which means we should expect Samsung to officially announce the new Note in the very first days of August. Usually, Evan Blass knows what he's talking about, so we're pretty confident about this.

Evan Blass also mentions that there's only one new Galaxy Note to be unveiled in August, so we guess we won't be seeing a variant with a curved screen, and another one with a regular display. If we're to believe the latest leaked details, the next-gen Galaxy Note will have curved edges on the back and front, thus possibly resembling the Galaxy S7 edge to some extent.

Another interesting rumor has it that the Galaxy Note 6 / Note 7 will feature a dual rear camera - similar to what's expected from Apple's iPhone 7 Plus (which should hit the market sometime in September). That aside, the new Note could offer a 5.8-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 823, or Exynos 8890 processor (depending on market), and up to 6 GB of RAM. Are you excited yet?

Hot News Apple’s WWDC event to take place on June 13 2016

Apple has sent press invitations for its annual World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) where the company announces new products, projects, software, hardware, computers and new features for its existing products.
What we are expecting to see from WWDC this month is maybe something (but perhaps nothing at all) regarding the rumors about a new MacBook Pro lineup with an OLED touch sensitive bar over the keyboard. We are also going to hear about the next mobile iOS version iOS 10. Apple might also rename OS X to just MacOS.
We should also definitely be seeing the new iPhone 7 lineup (iPhone 7 renders leaked here) with updated antenna lines, a possible dual-camera setup on the iPhone 7 Plus, new 32GB base storage model(they finally did away with that ridiculous entry level 16GB). If analysts are correct, the iPhone 7 should be a smashing success for the holiday season.
There also might be a new Apple Music overhaul that suggests Apple might be relaunching its music service. We also hope to see new developments with the Apple Watch seeing as its already been more than a year since its official release back in April of last year and the company has not given any hints to a successor.
The keynote will begin on June 13 at 1pm ET (10am PT) and the event can be live streamed on any Apple device or some kind of workaround for other devices. We’ll post more information about how to watch the keynote in a future post closer to the actual event.
